Glenn, another amazing pastor from the WW2 era was Richard Wurmbrand, who wrote the book “Tortured For Christ” – he was a Romanian pastor who was imprisoned for 14 years by the Communists. The film version of Tortured For Christ is posted on YT. Many of the clergy fell for the Communist propaganda at that time – except for Pastor Wurmbrand. He stood firm in his faith in Christ. I hope you will look into this pastor. Btw – I have Eric Metaxas’s biography on Bonnhoeffer.
